FUNDKO: A Crowd-lending Platform -- Good or Bad?

While trying to look for other option to diverse investments, I stumbled upon a company named FUNDKO. It is also a crowd-lending platform like SeedIn. Upon investigation, I was able to find an issue where a lender was informed that the borrower is unable to pay or decided to not pay their lenders anymore. This is obviously not a good sign for a crowd-lending company. It is a good thing SeedIn has a budget for this i-responsible lenders or they have made pre-cautions to avoid such issues. Okay, here is the exchanged communication between the lender and FUNDKO.

About Fundko: Taken from their website:

We are a crowdlending platform that connects verified lenders and borrowers. Because we provide a more efficient service than traditional channels, lenders who are looking for investment opportunities will find attractive returns while borrowers get reasonable rates.

FundKo is a subsidiary of Guevent Investments Development Corporation (GIDC) – a company that has over 50 years of operations with a business footprint that spans across the entire Philippine archipelago.

Invest for as low as 15,000 pesos or borrow as much as 500,000 pesos through FundKo!
I found the images above in a FB Group I joined a long time ago - TGFI or The Global Filipino Investors which also came from another group called "Crowdfunding Personal and Business Loan Investors PH". I want to be updated so I joined both groups.

I am not saying they belong to scam investment or investment fraud but based from this conversation, where their (Fundko's) hands are clean if the borrower decided not to pay is not a good sign of a good investment. Basically, the risk will be so high and they'll be prone to more scam borrowers. They should make sure the investors has less risk by avoiding such issues.

Too bad, because I am in need to find more options. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. It is up to you, if you are willing to invest on this FundKo company but for me - I will stay away from them.

Investing on Dividend-Earning-Stocks

I don't know how to start this new post again since I am using a different platform and it just ruined my day after I accidentally deleted all the text and I don't know how to undo it with Apple. Imagine the frustration  Anyways, let us not be bothered by it anymore. Moving on. Okay so lots of things happened and is still happening while I am offline. Recent events made me realize lots of things - good and bad ones. Before we go on, I would like to take this opportunity to ask each and everyone who is reading this to please say a prayer for all our medical practitioners (specially the Frontliners). I would also like to ask each everyone to pray for our country's leaders to have unity in battling this COVID issue and not concentrate on blaming each other or finding faults.  So for now I will give you update on what's happening on my investments and how it is going. For start, I will start with SeedIn which is me and my wife's favorite investment. Believe me when I sa...

SeedIn PH Cash Withdrawal Successful

Email I got from Gmail from SeedIn PH It's a known fact that Filipino investors who were not educated in Financial Literacy are prone to investment frauds. Even those who were educated become victims as well, no thanks to fraud investment companies' usage of web technology and social media. But web technology or social media can also be used for good specially when it comes to finding the best investment companies or just finding a legit one is more appropriate. If you find a good investment company or a legit one, you can also share it to your friends - though some may think you are just recruiting for people. Okay here is one good example of a good investment; last October 20, I have requested to withdraw sum amount of money from SeedIn PH and upon checking my bank account in BDO today, I found out that it was already sent to my account last Oct. 22. So which means if you made a request for a withdrawal, you may expect it at a minimum of 2 days and max of 3 days (as...

Protecting Our Future and Our Family

People who are not learned of Financial Literacy often find themselves going in circles to making ends meet. Trapped in debt and instead of building their wealth, they mistakenly invest on unimportant things. Sadly, sometimes you have to learn things the hard way in order to find out what works and what does not. But like what an optimist would say, if you made 50 mistakes that means you found out 50 ways of how you should not do it. So h ow does someone build wealth? We can't build wealth if we are not financially protected. It's like wearing your armor before going to battle. One accident can drain years of savings so in order to avoid that you must protect your wealth or savings with a buffer or protection --and that will be your armor. Here are the things we need in order to protect the welfare of our family in the future. Eliminate Debts One greatest common burden each one has is having Debts. Having debt is like walking or running with an open wound - it will...
